Catholic Charities Family and Community Services (CCFCS) is hiring for a HEAP eligibility specialist. You will determine eligibility for federal HEAP funds, interview clients, collect income data, and verify documentation, while assisting with outreach and coordination with DHS.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in business, accounting, finance or related area.
• First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire, recertified every two years as needed.
• 1 year experience in working within program guidelines; strong communication and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Performs Evaluation eligibility and applications services to HEAP applicants.
• Interviews clients in person or by phone to collect housing, demographic and income data.
• Gathers required documentation to determine eligibility accurately.
• Responds to heating and utility emergencies.
• Data-entry duties and documentation.
• Assists with Outreach and Publicity for the HEAP program with DHS.
• Promotes the HEAP program to community organizations and coalitions.
• Maintains tidy office and follows COVID guidelines including PPE.

Education

Associates degree in business, accounting, finance
