Job summary

York County Community Action Corporation (YCCAC) is seeking an Energy Services Specialist I/II to support the Economic Opportunity & Housing Stability team during the heating season. You will help individuals apply for HEAP, ECIP, and AMP, providing front-line service in person, by phone, and online.

The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and attention to detail, with computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and treating all applicants with dignity and respect.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of customer service, administrative support, reception, intake, records management, eligibility support, or related experience preferred.
Must not have an active exclusion or debarment record in the federal SAM.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist clients in person, by phone, voicemail, and electronically.
Conduct client intake interviews and assist with applications and required documentation.
Explain program requirements, timelines, and next steps.
Review applications for completeness and follow up on missing information.
Enter and update client information accurately in agency and state databases.
