Job summary

Sedgwick County Health Department is seeking a Healthy Start and MCH Coordinator to supervise Home Visitors and CHWs under three grants. You will support program planning, staff management, and monthly reporting to meet grant outcomes and improve maternal and child health.

A strong emphasis on collaboration with community partners and quality improvement is required. The role supports efforts to reduce infant mortality and prematurity among high-risk moms and involves driving compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, health science, psychology, sociology, counseling, or a similar field.
• 1 year of experience in a social service or case management position.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• 1 year of data management experience.
• Experience with public speaking and presentation development.
• Valid Kansas driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• For Activation Level 1 staff: complete FEMA IS 100 and 700 within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of Home Visitors and CHWs.
• Support program planning, personnel management, team meetings, and procedural improvements.
• Coordinate daily activities and ensure grant outcomes are met.
• Meet regularly with Home Visitors and CHWs to discuss progress toward outcomes.
• Compile monthly data reports and ensure timely submission of required documents.
• Build and maintain internal and external partnerships.
• Lead quality-improvement processes and monitor caseloads and progress toward outcomes.
