Job summary

California Department of Public Health is seeking a Health Program Manager II to oversee the California Home Visiting Program (CHVP) and the Program Development and Implementation section within the MCAH Division. You will provide policy development, planning, and monitoring, and supervise a multi-disciplinary team to advance maternal, child and adolescent health outcomes.

You will coordinate with local agencies, manage program reporting and continuous quality improvement, and travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• Experience managing or supervising complex public health programs.
• Ability to plan, implement, and monitor program activities and budgets.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the California Home Visiting Program (CHVP) policy development, planning, implementation, support and monitoring.
• Provide leadership to a multi-disciplinary team of staff and coordinate with local agencies.
• Lead program analysis, reporting, and partnership-building; travel up to 10% as required.
