Job summary

InterSystems is seeking a Chief Architect for HealthShare to define and guide the platform's architectural direction, focusing on multi-tenant design, cloud-deployable services, and manageable operations. You will collaborate with Development and Product Management to align architecture with the roadmap and reduce deployment, upgrade, and life-cycle costs across customer environments.

Qualifications

Deep experience with InterSystems HealthShare architecture and engineering.
Strong understanding of InterSystems IRIS and HealthShare platform patterns relevant to service design, interoperability, deployment, and lifecycle management.
Proven experience designing enterprise healthcare systems with substantial interoperability requirements.
Strong understanding of HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/C-CDA, and related healthcare integration patterns.
Experience evolving existing platforms toward architectures that improve product adoption, simplify upgrades, and reduce operating burden.

Responsibilities

Set the architectural direction for HealthShare platform capabilities, shared services, and major subsystem investments.
Define platform architecture to reduce deployment friction and improve upgrade consistency across environments.
Lead architecture for multi-tenancy, including tenant isolation and security boundaries.
Define architectural requirements for cloud deployment, including portability, automation, resilience, observability, and lifecycle management.
Drives improvements in manageability: provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and support diagnostics.
Partner with Product Management to ensure architectural investments support product goals.
Guide healthcare interoperability strategy, including data exchange and standards alignment.
Review major technical designs and steer teams toward consistent platform patterns.
Identify and reduce technical debt impacting scalability and lifecycle cost.
