Job summary

Lemontree Healthcare Services LLC is seeking a Trash/ Project Technician to maintain a clean, safe environment at Florida Med Center. The role involves proper waste collection, segregation, and disposal, including hazardous and biohazardous waste, in line with hospital protocols and infection control policies.

Shift: 6am-2:30pm, Sun-Thur, 14 USD per hour. The position requires physical ability to lift heavy loads and work closely with the EVS team to ensure regulatory compliance and cleanliness

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or janitorial environment is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with waste disposal, sanitation and safety protocols preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy trash bags and containers safely.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of all types of waste from designated areas.
• Segregate waste into general, biohazard, recyclable, and pharmaceutical categories.
• Transport waste to designated disposal areas and containers.
• Follow procedures for hazardous and biohazardous waste handling per OSHA.
• Label and contain hazardous waste to prevent contamination.
• Clean and sanitize waste collection areas and bins regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness in hallways, utility rooms, and loading docks.
• Ensure waste bins are lined with appropriate liners and replaced as needed.
