Job summary

Lemontree Healthcare is seeking a Trash Tech for Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. The role supports safe waste management and sanitation across patient areas, offices, and restrooms, following hospital protocols.

The position requires lifting ability and adherence to infection control practices, with a schedule Monday–Friday plus weekends in a full-time capacity. Competitive hourly pay is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare/janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic understanding of waste disposal, sanitation, and safety protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of all types of waste from designated areas in the facility.
• Ensure proper segregation of waste into categories to comply with safety standards.
• Transport waste to disposal areas and maintain cleanliness of disposal sites.
• Handle hazardous and biohazardous waste following OSHA and infection control policies.
• Label and contain hazardous waste to prevent contamination and ensure safety.
• Keep waste areas clean and sanitary, including bins, carts, and containers.
• Ensure proper lining and replacement of waste liners as needed.
