Job summary

WM is seeking a Manager, Project - WMSS to guide compliant, safe, and efficient handling of all contracted waste streams for facilities. The role travels to local customer sites 3–4 days per week and ensures services meet safety, regulatory, and profitability standards.

The position requires healthcare industry experience, regulatory knowledge, and strong project management capabilities. Base pay reflects market norms and site variations across the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3 years in healthcare or equivalent with medical waste knowledge and consultative skills
• HAZWOPER, RCRA, DOT regulatory experience
• OSHA 24-Hour Certification
• Pre-assignment drug/alcohol testing may be required by customers
• COVID/other vaccinations may be required per customer requirements

Responsibilities

• Monitor operational performance and cost goals using tracking tools and invoice reviews
• Provide strategic consultative support to hospital staff for contracted waste streams
• Advise on EPA, DOT, DEA and other regulations affecting waste streams
• Conduct surveys to identify compliance gaps and waste segregation opportunities
• Lead implementation of new compliant services and coordinate schedules with customers
• Schedule customer-facing activity to ensure service satisfaction and profitability
• Perform other duties as assigned
