Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. Dispatcher role coordinating same-day patient transportation and routing for AltaMed participants in the California area. Responsibilities include scheduling, tracking, and ensuring drivers return to base by day end.

Prior dispatch experience in healthcare is preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese skills encouraged. Excellent communication required for smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent, required.
• Experience in health care preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience in dispatch services.
• Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for transportation services; receiving incoming/outgoing pick-up calls and scheduling transportation for the same day.
• Coordinate daily transportation for AltaMed patients and participants with PACE centers.
• Assist with other transportation vendors by facilitating information and back-up service when possible.
• Scheduling, routing, record keeping, and auditing to ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure drivers return to base at day end after assignments.
• Provide support to others as needed to meet program deadlines.
