Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a paralegal to support the Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance Department in a full-time onsite capacity in Akron, Ohio. You will collaborate with in-house counsel, outside counsel, and hospital staff to prepare documents, track deadlines, and facilitate review and execution of transactional matters while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Associate's Degree with 5+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Paralegal Certificate strongly preferred.
• Experience in transactional, corporate, healthcare, or real estate matters preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools; strong confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with corporate, contract, and real estate transaction duties, including organizing files and drafting agreements.
• Draft, review, revise, and track legal documents such as confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, service agreements, amendments, renewals, and termination notices.
• Coordinate review and execution of transactional documents with in-house counsel, departments, outside counsel, and stakeholders.
• Support nonprofit governance, healthcare regulatory matters, and other departmental operations.
• Assist with real estate transactions and tax exemption applications; manage governance records and related materials.
• Support other department leaders and special projects.
