Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a skilled IT professional to support enterprise interface engines and healthcare data exchanges. The role involves 24x7 on-call duties and collaboration with clinical and technical teams to maintain high availability of critical systems.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required.
Experience with SQL, PSQL, and Oracle database tools such as Toad, SQLPlus, WinSQL, MS Access or equivalents.
Certification with one or more enterprise interface engines such as e-Gate, Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, Mirth is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides 24x7x365 support of Enterprise interfaces and ensures high availability.
Participates in testing and validation on system upgrades and changes affecting interfaces.
Develops and maintains real-time HL7, web services and batch interfaces between core clinical applications.
