Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking an IT professional to conduct requirements reviews, develop system specifications, and analyze business processes for healthcare software interfaces. The role focuses on implementing and supporting enterprise interface engines, HL7 and related standards, to ensure high availability of IT systems across clinical and financial applications.

Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

Provides 24x7x365 support of Enterprise Interface Engine and all of its components. Ensures High Availability.
Assists with direction on system upgrades and changes affecting interfaces directly and indirectly.
Assists with direction the testing and validation on all types of integration and interfaces for all systems.
Assists in the assimilation of new software applications and programs into an organization's existing Health Information Technology environment and strategic goals.
Assists in determining systemic needs, recommending changes, implementing new software solutions and instructing users about the interface function, mapping and processing.
