Job description

The Interface Developer will be responsible for the development and maintenance interfaces with 3 rd party vendors. Responsibilities include on-time completion of tasks including all project phases (Analysis, Design, Build, Validation, Testing, Training, and Support) as well as documentation, change management, issue management, and other interface project activities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage HL7 interface deployment for clinical laboratory, anatomic pathology and EMR’s, including obtaining customer use cases and requirements, creating implementation project plans, and managing implementations and testing
  • Define, create, and validateHL7 data mapping.
  • Demonstrated success in all areas of implementation and project management including coordination of project initiation, scheduling of meetings, conference calls, and communication.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced, critical situation environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • The successful candidate must be able to work well within a team and effectively communicate with team members and with all levels within the client organization
Required:
  • Programming skills and good understanding of C#, .NET, SQL.
  • A good understanding of relational database design and writing optimized SQL queries, triggers and stored procedures.
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and execute tasks to meet project deadlines and work a flexible schedule as required.
  • Executes all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically.
  • Practical experience with gathering and documenting data requirements, design, building, testing, implementation, support, creation of mapping tables, and maintenance of interface bridges.
  • Relevant HL7 interface development and deployment.
Preferred:
  • Experience and knowledge of HL7 standard and working with an HL7 interface engine.
  • Knowledge of ANSI standards.
  • Operational experience with EMR / EHR and Laboratory system(s) a plus
  • Understanding of healthcare applications and terminology, patient care environments, and service needs and priorities of patient care personnel preferred.
  • Experience with Corepoint engine
