Job summary

San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) seeks a collaborative Business Systems Analyst to partner with business units, elicit requirements, document Functional Specifications, and drive data-driven improvements across healthcare applications.

The role supports a hybrid work model with minimum onsite presence of 4 days per month, participates in testing, release planning, and operational process design to enhance SFHP's award-winning health care reform model.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree or equivalent work experience.
• Healthcare organization experience, especially with managed health plans.
• At least 3 years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar in healthcare.
• 1+ years with relational databases and SQL queries.
• Intermediate experience with Visio or similar process design software.
• Familiarity with requirements management and Azure DevOps is helpful.
• Familiarity with HIPAA EDI transactions and formats.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business partners and IT to analyze requirements and produce functional specs.
• Lead elicitation and apply business/technical knowledge to solve problems.
• Understand application functionality, interfaces, and workflows.
• Develop test plans with end-users and verify processes work as intended.
• Support change management and release processes.
• Identify and implement operational process improvements.
• Advocate for business users and help prioritize requests.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Partner with senior analysts on complex initiatives.
