Job summary

UChicago Medicine, a world-class academic healthcare system, seeks a Supply Chain Logistics Supervisor for the Hyde Park campus in the greater Chicagoland area. This role manages inventory of patient care supplies and supervises daily warehousing, stocking, and par level maintenance.

You will assign tasks, monitor performance, ensure compliance with hospital policies, and act as a liaison to Patient Care to resolve supply issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to collaborate in a team with diverse disciplines.
• Ability to work in a stressful setting while delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds and push 450 pounds.
• Understand Lean concepts and problem solving.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily inventory management operations for patient care supplies.
• Assign tasks and ensure work follows approved procedures.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Act as liaison to Patient Care areas to resolve supply issues.
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
