Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Lead to direct day-to-day operations of the Supply Chain Associates (Levels 1 & 2), drive process improvements, set performance expectations, and maintain staff morale.

You will collaborate with nursing floors and OR staff, coordinate with Procurement, manage PAR maintenance and inventory levels, mentor new employees, handle backorders, and ensure product availability supports safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma/G.E.D. required; postsecondary logistics-related education preferred.
• Experience leading, supervising, and mentoring staff is highly preferred.
• Background in logistics, supply chain, or related field is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day supply chain functions for Levels 1 & 2 staff.
• Mentor/preceptor to staff and set performance expectations.
• Manage inventory, PAR maintenance, and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate with Nursing/OR staff and Procurement for backorders and product availability.
• Review and optimize material handling, scheduling, and workflow.
• Improve department processes and respond to staff and customer issues.
