Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Webster,TX is hiring a Supply Inventory Technician to receive, key, and distribute supplies across the facility. You will review Min/Max levels, maintain storeroom safety stock, and conduct physical inventories of POU areas according to schedule.

Responsibilities include accurate delivery of supplies, updating the SMART system, managing cross-docked items, and supporting POU staff and nurses stations while ensuring stock accuracy and timely replenishment.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Previous stock clerk experience preferred.
• Some hospital supply experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies in an accurate and timely manner.
• Authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug-containing devices per core competencies.
• Place safety stock in proper location.
• Receive expedited deliveries and key receiving into the SMART system, then deliver to appropriate department(s).
• Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system as appropriate.
• Review Min/Max for storeroom safety stock daily and place orders accordingly.
• Count par level areas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule.
• Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes.
• Perform QA random checks on totes per approved policy.
• Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas to prevent expiry.
• Check after-hour logs for charges and address issues to avoid recurrence.
• React to POU 'critical point' messages and stockouts.
• Process all 'returns to vendor' or 'returns to backup stock' properly.
• Provide assistance to POU Station personnel and nurses stations.
