Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist I, Logistics to support inventory management, equipment handling, and daily supply chain operations within the hospital setting.

You will work with clinical staff to communicate product changes, fulfill equipment requests, and ensure timely replenishment across six general supply rooms and two specialty locations. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must exhibit the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Computer literate – ability to learn various programs.
• Must be able to work independently and respond quickly under pressure when problems arise.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard work and methodologies around inventory, receiving, equipment, linen and mail.
• Utilizes standard processes within WaveMark and PeopleSoft to maintain data integrity.
• Performs daily activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Orders and delivers supplies and/or linen to user areas based on par level.
• Identifies stock shortages and notify management.
• Conducts routine audits of supplies, linen, and equipment to ensure inventory accuracy.
