Job summary

Brown University Health Distribution Technicians provide high-level customer service and operational support to caregivers and departments across Brown University Health facilities. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or greater than five years relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise considerable independent judgment in daily duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of personnel.
• Ability to use distribution equipment including electric pallet jacks and reach trucks.
• Mechanical ability to make minor adjustments and recognize problems.
• Numerical and clerical ability to check gauges and prepare records.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance and practice standards.
• Ensures uninterrupted supply of equipment and supplies for Supply Chain Operations.
• Performs counting, organizing, ordering, delivery, picking, packaging, put away, inspection, and/or receiving of equipment and supplies.
• Maintains stock in assigned areas, clean and orderly, with correct labels.
• Receives material by verifying contents and maintaining records.
• Delivers orders to Brown University Health locations.
• Unloads supplies and replenishes patient care areas.
• Interacts with suppliers to confirm or expedite delivery.
