Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Distribution Technician to support the caregivers and departments across all Brown University Health facilities. The role emphasizes service, stock control, and safe handling of equipment in a hospital setting.

Under the supervision of Supply Chain Operations leadership, you will maintain stock, process orders, deliver supplies, and conduct routine inspections. A HS diploma and valid license are required, with ability to work weekends and lift heavy items.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or greater than five years relevant experience.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment in daily duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent Brown University Health and Supply Chain.
• Ability to properly use distribution equipment including electric pallet jacks and reach trucks.
• Numerical and clerical ability to check gauges, read charts and prepare departmental records.
• If driving, must have a good driving record and valid license per policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintains quality assurance and practice standards according to policies and objectives.
• Ensures uninterrupted supply of equipment and supplies for Supply Chain Operations.
• Performs counting, organizing, ordering, delivery, picking, packaging, put away, inspection, and receiving of equipment and supplies.
• Maintains stock in clean, orderly storage areas and follows par levels, reorder points, and FIFO.
• Delivers orders within Brown University Health locations and interacts with suppliers to confirm or expedite deliveries.
