Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Centralized Staffing & Scheduling Coordinator in Richmond to manage scheduling, staffing, and timekeeping for designated work areas. Responsibilities include creating/editing schedules, handling last-minute staffing needs, and maintaining daily unit schedules using an electronic system.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with staffing and scheduling software is required.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit schedules for nursing departments in the electronic scheduling system.
• Collaborate with nurse managers to forecast staffing needs.
• Approve or deny schedule requests based on skill mix and unit needs.
• Balance and publish schedules; monitor vacancy rates and post incentive shifts per policy.
• Adjust schedules by acquiring additional personnel or reducing staff as needed.
• Identify complex staffing needs within 24 hours and arrange appropriate coverage.
• Receive sick calls and manage unplanned vacancies; coordinate recruitment as needed.
• Maintain daily schedules and communicate critical staffing needs to managers.
• Process timecards for manager approval and correct exceptions.
• Maintain staffing-related records and reports; distribute to leaders.
• Assist with allocation of agency resources and other duties related to contract labor.
