Job summary

Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for per diem hours 3:00pm–11:30pm. The role focuses on assessing and updating daily schedules, resolving staffing challenges with advanced scheduling software, and maintaining accurate employee data and hours worked for correct payroll.

You will collaborate with unit leadership to adjust staffing to patient census, balance schedules by job and FTE, and handle leave requests, licensure

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of one year scheduling experience in healthcare or call-center environment preferred.
• Experience with advanced scheduling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess and change daily schedules as needed.
• Maintain complete schedules and resolve staffing challenges using scheduling software.
• Track and update employee demographics, skills, certifications, and licensure.
• Record actual hours worked for payroll purposes.
• Assess immediate and projected staffing needs and assign resources based on budgeted workload and census.
• Coordinate with unit leadership to adjust scheduling for volume changes.
• Enter changes including leave requests and shift swaps in the system.
• Create new hire and holiday staffing schedules for all departments.
