Job summary

Morrison Healthcare in Alabama is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the Culinary Department for a facility. You will supervise and assist in preparation and cooking, develop daily menu items, and work with the Executive Chef to implement new menus and assist with ordering.

This role is ideal for an energetic culinary professional with experience in high-volume operations, cost controls, and catering events. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ServSafe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience.
• Knowledge of food cost controls, sanitation, presentation.
• Experience with computers: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist with planning and creating menus.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
