University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX seeks a Simulation Technician to manage and operate complex medical simulators and multimedia systems for learners. You will support faculty and students, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and help transform clinical case scenarios into realistic learning environments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience in simulation, AV tech, or multimedia operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Science, Instructional Design, or related field.
• Minimum one year of experience operating and maintaining complex medical simulators and multimedia equipment.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilités

• Manages day-to-day operation and setups of complex medical simulators and multimedia equipment.
• Operates simulation computer and audiovisual technology including cameras, projectors and mixers.
• Provides faculty and student instruction on simulators and equipment.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and maintains patient simulators and peripherals.
• Transforms medical case scenarios into realistic simulated learning environments.
