Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX seeks a Clinical Simulation Specialist for the Health Education Center. This role provides operational support and clinical expertise for simulation experiences across human and non-human subjects, including training, setup, maintenance and debriefing.

The position requires a nursing license in Texas and either a Master’s in a health-related field with 2 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s in Nursing with 4 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree plus two years’ relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus four years’ clinical experience.
• Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• Certified Simulation Educator or Operations Specialist (CHSE, CHSE-A, CHSOS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support and clinical knowledge for simulation experiences.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, staff and external stakeholders; resolve problems and troubleshoot issues.
