Job summary

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, TX seeks a Medical Simulation Specialist to manage and operate high- and low-fidelity simulators and multimedia equipment for learners across programs.

You will train faculty and students, troubleshoot systems, and help design realistic scenarios. A Bachelor's degree and 1 year of related experience are required; some travel and weekend work may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Science, Instructional Design, or a related field from an accredited university.
• One year of experience operating and maintaining complex medical simulators, multimedia, and/or audiovisual equipment.
• Excellent communication, computer, organizational skills, and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operation and setups of simulators and multimedia for learners.
• Integrates and operates simulation tech including cameras, projectors, mixers, software.
• Provides faculty and student instruction on simulators and equipment.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions and maintains simulators and peripherals.
• Transforms medical case scenarios into realistic learning environments.
