Job summary

EVMS Medical Group in Norfolk, VA, seeks a Simulation Assistant to support the Sentara Center for Healthcare Simulation and Immersive Learning. You will operate, maintain, and repair simulation devices and AV equipment, and assist in training non-technical users.

Working with faculty and staff, you’ll troubleshoot hardware/software issues, manage inventory, and help ensure smooth delivery of simulation-based education and research activities.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic computer hardware and software relevant to simulator functions.
• Familiarity with audiovisual production and editing functions.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
• Proficiency with wired and wireless networks.
• Proficiency with database creation and use.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, break down, and clean simulation events — manikins, task trainers, AV, and room resets between sessions.
