Job summary

Riverside Health in Newport News, Virginia seeks a Simulation Technician to provide technical support for all simulation operations at the Riverside Simulation Training Lab, including running, maintenance, and repair of simulation equipment, simulators, and related computers.

You will work closely with the Medical Director and Lab Manager to deliver high-quality, realistic training experiences for our customers, while also managing inventory, data tasks, and ensuring confidentiality and safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in technology or health-related field is required (or program graduate).
• 1 year experience with patient simulation services and related hardware/software.
• CHSOS certification required within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain simulation equipment for training sessions.
• Prepare simulators and equipment for realistic scenarios.
• Provide technical support and training on simulation tech.
• Manage inventory and coordinate equipment needs.
• Assist with data collection, policy development and confidentiality tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
