Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Healthcare Simulation Operator to provide essential technical and audio-visual support for simulation operations within the Nursing department. This non-instructional role focuses on ensuring best practices to enhance student learning and operates under the Lab Manager's supervision.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot complex equipment, maintain simulators, and coordinate with faculty and vendors in a fast-paced educational setting, including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a related profession as a simulation operator or comparable role.
• Skilled in computer software, hardware, basic applications and audio-visual equipment.
• Ability to travel to multi-campus sites as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-fidelity simulators and healthcare simulation equipment.
• Utilize and troubleshoot simulation software such as Laerdal LLEAP, SimCapture, KBPort, Sim2Gro, and SimX VR.
• Program healthcare simulations and prepare the environment, including moulage on manikins.
• Align practices with INACSL Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice.
• Assist with pre-briefing and debriefing by managing audio/visual equipment.
• Provide maintenance and equipment checklists and act as a liaison with vendors.
