Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Security Officer to protect properties and facilities, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. You will join the Security Services team and contribute to a secure hospital environment across our off-campus emergency departments.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and certification readiness in IAHSS, BLS, and First Aid, with a valid WA/ID driver’s license. Schedule is 0.8 FTE with flexible 8-hour shifts and a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• IAHSS Basic Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid training within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Washington or Idaho driver’s license (driving not required for Navos Hospital).

Responsibilities

• Conduct general security to protect people and property and enforce policies.
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct using tactical techniques.
• Utilize de‑escalation and aggression management skills as required.
• Apply awareness, vigilance, avoidance, defense and escape to protect and serve the facility.
