Job summary

MultiCare Covington Medical Center in Covington, WA is seeking a Security Officer for an evening, full-time role. You will protect hospital properties and ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors while upholding department policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in security, police, or military preferred.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general security to protect people and property and enforce policies.
• Deter criminal activity using appropriate techniques.
• Use awareness and defense strategies to protect the facility.
• Operate security equipment and monitoring devices to prevent contraband.
• Engage with combative individuals using approved techniques and assistive devices.
• Respond to incidents to safeguard patients, employees and visitors.
