Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Maryland Security Guard Card preferred.
• BLS/CPR Certification preferred and must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• IAHSS Basic Officer Certification preferred, required for any promotion.
• Must pass a criminal records background check prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains personal and asset security by conducting hazard surveillance rounds with emphasis on protecting patients, staff and hospital property.
• Monitor CCTV and logs; respond to emergency calls following established guidelines.
• Conducts preliminary investigations into thefts and other incidents.
• Prepares and submits written reports and daily event logs.
• Performs safety screenings for weapons and contraband to ensure a safe environment.
