Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking a Security Officer to provide personal and asset protection for patients, visitors, and staff across the Medical Center. The role includes monitoring CCTV, conducting hazard rounds, and responding promptly to emergencies while maintaining logs and reports.

Requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and security certifications; Maryland guard credentials and CPR/BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Criminal records background check required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maryland Security Guard Card preferred.
• BLS/CPR Certification preferred and must obtain within 90 days of hire.
• IAHSS Basic Officer Certification preferred, required for any promotion.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hazard surveillance rounds with emphasis on protecting patients, staff and property.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to emergencies following established guidelines.
• Prepare and submit incident reports and investigations in a timely manner.
• Provide safety escorts and assist with patient transports as needed.
• Assist with keys, badges, traffic control, and parking enforcement.
• Readiness and securing of helicopter landing area and assist medical personnel.
