Cheshire Medical Center is seeking a full-time Security Officer to safeguard patients, visitors and staff at our Keene, NH campus. The role requires leadership in crisis situations, calm decision-making, and the ability to generate clear incident reports.

Responsibilities include patrols, traffic control, snow operations, and collaboration with engineering and security leadership. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with 2–3 years in healthcare/security or related fields

• Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and routine correspondence.

Aufgaben

• Conducts preventative security and safety patrols throughout buildings and grounds.
• Provides security for patients, visitors, and staff and responds to requests and emergency codes.
• Provides leadership and direction to staff in crisis situations to control disruptive behavior.
• Observes unauthorized persons and notifies supervisor or police.
• Inspects equipment (radios, fire extinguishers, panic alarms, AED units, etc.) and reports faults.
• Writes detailed incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Conducts follow-up investigations as needed.
• Directs and regulates vehicular traffic and assists in snow removal operations.
• Maintains radio communication with Switchboard and coordinates with law enforcement as needed.
• Collaborates with Security Supervisor and Director of Safety and Security on needs and problems.
• May perform other duties per Security Supervisor and Director of Safety and Security.
• Collaborates with Engineering for snow plowing, landscaping, and contractor notifications.
• Shovels snow as needed and spreads ice-melting salt as directed.
