MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville, ME is seeking an on-site security professional to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors. You will monitor for security threats, de-escalate incidents, respond to alarms, participate in drills, and coordinate with police and EMS to maintain a secure campus.

The role involves supporting emergency plans, assisting staff, and operating a vehicle as needed to fulfill MaineGeneral Health business requirements.

Qualifications

• Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Proactively monitor and respond to potential/actual security threats.
• Utilize de-escalation techniques to protect patient, staff and visitor safety.
• Respond to alarms and follow emergency/disaster plans per policy.
• Engage in planned drills and simulations to maintain readiness.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, EMS and fire services as needed.
• Operate a vehicle to conduct health system business.

Responsabilités

• Manages acute behavioral events utilizing appropriate techniques.
• Utilizes de-escalation techniques to protect safety of patients, staff and visitors.
• Responds to alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans according to policy and procedures.
• Actively participates in planned drills and simulations.
• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
• Coordinates with local law enforcement officials and EMS/firefighters to assist in providing safe atmosphere.
• Operates a motor vehicle to conduct MaineGeneral Health business.
