Qualifications

• Current Driver’s License (if applicable for the role).
• Current Basic Life Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 21 years of age.
• If located in the State of Montana Security Guard Licensure is required within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors security technology systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
• De-escalation: use verbal and non-verbal strategies to calm individuals and resolve conflicts peacefully.
• Intervenes to protect safety when patients act aggressively or violently, including using physical restraints when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA when reporting crimes or incidents; disclose only minimum necessary information.
• Respond to bomb threats and suspicious packages following protocols for safety.
• Participate in drills such as infant abduction and active shooter scenarios.
• Conduct respectful searches of patients and narcotics searches in compliance with law.
• Conduct safety inspections of walking surfaces and fire extinguishers.
• Enforce parking regulations to ensure safety and accessibility.
• Collaborate with HR and law enforcement on investigations following safety protocols.
