Job summary

Qualifications

• Current Driver's License (if applicable for the role).
• Current Basic Life Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers or willing to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• At least 21 years of age.
• One-year previous law enforcement, corrections, public safety or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors security technology systems (surveillance cameras, access control, alarms).
• De-escalation to calm individuals and resolve conflicts peacefully.
• Intervenes to protect safety when patients act aggressively or violently, including using restraints when necessary.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance when reporting crimes or incidents and disclose only minimum information to law enforcement.
• Respond to bomb threats and suspicious packages following protocols.
• Participate in drills like infant abduction and active shooter scenarios.
• Conduct searches of patients and narcotics in compliance with legal requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections of walking surfaces and fire extinguishers.
• Enforce parking regulations to ensure safety and accessibility.
• Collaborate with HR and law enforcement to conduct investigations.
