Job summary

Ohio Living in Cleveland is seeking a Security Associate to safeguard residents, staff, and visitors at our life plan community. You will perform safety and security activities, respond to emergencies, and maintain records per standards and regulations.

Your duties include monitoring premises, patrolling, handling incidents, and coordinating with 911 when needed, while upholding confidentiality and quality care. Applicants should have a high school diploma and security-related training preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Security or emergency response training preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe facilities and grounds for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Manage security plans: surveillance, interior/exterior patrolling, incidents, and investigations.
• Respond to emergencies and summon 911 per protocol and coordinate with family when needed.
• Address mechanical and safety alarms and ensure QA and infection control practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Notify staff of incidents and assist during major emergencies; unlock doors as required.
• Share observations to improve department operations; attend meetings and trainings.
• Maintain current records, logs, and reports; participate in shift-change handoffs.
