Job summary

Ohio Living seeks a Security Associate for an evening, one-day-per-week position at our Columbus, Ohio campus. The role focuses on safeguarding residents, staff, and visitors, responding to emergencies, and enforcing safety procedures in a life plan community.

Responsibilities include monitoring facilities, coordinating with the Manager on Duty, maintaining logs, and participating in trainings. A high school diploma is required, with First Aid/CPR preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years experience in security, safety, and/or emergency response position preferred.
  • First Aid certified or willing to obtain in a reasonable timeframe.
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain in a reasonable timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures facilities and grounds are maintained in a safe manner for residents, staff, and visitors.
  • Responds to and helps resolve resident emergencies or requests for assistance.
  • Responds to mechanical emergencies and ensures QA, infection control, and universal precautions are maintained.
  • Maintains safety and security policies and procedures; notifies staff of incidents.
  • Unlocks and opens resident doors per 911 or resident/family requests; attends meetings and training.
  • Maintains legible daily shift logs and participates in shift-change reporting.
