Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect staff, patients and visitors across the hospital campus. This role requires responding to security alerts, managing incidents, and supporting fire and disaster response teams in line with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in security or healthcare or customer service preferred.
• IAHSS Basic Officer Certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to perform incident investigations and write reports.
• PA ACT 235, NJ SORA, or similar state requirements preferred.
• Completion of a law enforcement or corrections academy or related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hospital property to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, employees, etc.
• Control persons exhibiting aggressive and/or violent behaviors.
• Investigate security incidents and document findings in an incident report.
• Document and maintain a daily report of activities.
• Lock and unlock buildings around the hospital campus.
• Be part of the fire and disaster response teams.
• Enforce the hospital parking policy.
• Respond to agitation/violent behavior with verbal de-escalation and/or restraints.
• Maintain confidentiality of all materials and information.
• Demonstrate PCRAFT values and contribute to safety and service improvements.
