Job summary

Essentia Health in Duluth is seeking a Security Officer to join our dedicated safety team. You will patrol the healthcare environment, deter crime, identify hazards, and respond to emergencies, alarms, disasters, and confrontations to protect patients and staff.

Schedule: 4 days on, 4 off, 5pm–6am, weekends and holidays on rotation. Must be 21+, have a valid driver's license, and complete required healthcare security training within a year of hire.

• Age requirement: 21+ years
• Must have a valid driver’s license for parking enforcement

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the healthcare environment to deter criminal activity, identify hazards, prevent incidents and safety accidents
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, disasters, and threatening situations with violent, dangerous or combative persons
• Enforce medical campus rules and take action to maintain order and prevent disruption or interference with medical center operations
