Job summary

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Security Manager for the Baltimore/Washington Campus in Elkridge, MD. The role leads the security program, supervises security personnel, and ensures safety across hospital and organizational sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field.
• 5 years of management experience in security or related field.
• An additional 5 years of security or law enforcement management experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Extensive knowledge of security and emergency management best practices, particularly in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive security program for the portion of the organization to which they are assigned.
• Oversight of all security personnel, policies, and systems at their respective reporting location(s) in alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies to ensure the safety and security of patients, students, clients, staff, visitors, and Sheppard Pratt property.
• Collaboration with various departments to support a secure environment, respond to security incidents, and provide leadership in emergency preparedness and incident response.
