Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Hospital Driver in Smyrna, TN to protect patients, staff and visitors across hospital facilities. You will drive between sites, perform patrols, control access, and respond to incidents with professional, compassionate service.

Requires a valid driver’s license, at least 2 years of security experience, and ability to work in a hospital setting. Full-time position with a pay rate of $20.20 per hour and daytime shifts across multiple days.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with hospital staff and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to maintain an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
