Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Dispatch Communications Specialist in Fairfax, VA to support healthcare locations. You will coordinate communications, monitor calls and alarms, document activity, and direct resources to ensure timely responses while delivering exceptional service to patients, visitors and staff.

The role is full-time with day-time shifts, requiring strong customer service, teamwork and reliability in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Computer or tablet use is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Monitor communications systems, receive calls for assistance, and dispatch appropriate personnel to incidents.
• Document calls, incidents, and dispatch activity accurately per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access control, alarms, and video systems and report unusual activity.
