Job summary

Heywood Healthcare is hiring for a Per Diem patient care support role. The position involves collaborating with nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care, while maintaining a clean, safe milieu and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities include monitoring patients, reporting safety concerns, assisting with belongings, and supporting care plans with clear communication to the team. Great for flexible shifts and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• AHA BLS CPR required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• DMH approved hands on de-escalation training within 30 days of hire for DMH certified units and 60 days for other locations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with nursing and healthcare teams to support patient-centered care.
• Maintains a clean and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
• Prevents potential safety hazards by removing hazards from the environment immediately.
• Assists with managing patient belongings and restricted items as directed by nursing.
• Responds to patient and visitor needs and provides information to nursing staff.
• Delivers input and patient information to the team contributing to patient care plans.
