Job summary

Heywood Hospital is seeking a Security Officer to ensure safety and security across the campus. The role involves greeting and assisting staff, patients, and visitors, patrolling facilities, responding to incidents, and enforcing parking regulations with a strong emphasis on privacy and confidentiality.

The position requires the ability to handle stressful situations, maintain a professional appearance, and work a flexible 32-hour schedule on-site with driving duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of security, law enforcement, military, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must be able to drive hospital shuttle van and/or patient/visitor vehicles in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Greet, welcome, and assist employees, visitors, and patients.
• Respond to incidents, complaints, alarms, and create detailed written reports.
• Patrol buildings and grounds according to supervisor instructions and policy.
• Direct traffic and enforce parking regulations.
• Assist clinical staff with patients while prioritizing safety.
• Complete all logs, reports, and documentation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Follow hospital policies and respond to emergencies.
