Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center in Missouri is seeking a Revenue Cycle Associate to assist in various areas of the Revenue Cycle. You will support patients with questions and payments, post self-pay funds, and process credit card payments in the Patient Accounts office.

This on-site role requires accuracy, teamwork, and proficiency with Cerner Revenue Cycle, Word, and Excel. You will train staff and help with deposits and reconciliations as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of a year Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience highly preferred.
• Must be team player.
• Must be self-motivated and able to follow policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Current residency in Missouri or Kansas is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with questions and payments in person and on the phone.
• Post self-pay payments received through the mail or in person.
• Process credit card payments from individuals as well as insurance companies that are received in the Patient Accounts office.
• Handle correspondence with early out vendor.
• Balance cash boards daily.
• Balance petty cash box.
• Process refunds weekly and reconcile with accounting.
• Assist patients with questions relating to account balances and payment options.
• Assist the Director of Revenue Cycle on assigned projects.
