Job summary

A Caring Alternative, LLC is seeking a Medical Records Coordinator to ensure accurate compilation, updating, and organization of consumer data in our electronic health record system. The role emphasizes confidentiality and regulatory compliance while supporting front-desk and clinical operations.

The candidate will scan and upload documents, create patient charts, and maintain accurate records for new and existing clients across our Western North Carolina service areas.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of healthcare data management or medical records experience.
• Familiarity with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Proficient in navigating electronic health records and file management.

Responsibilities

• Compile, update, and organize consumer data in the electronic health record system.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information and ensure compliant handling.
• Scan, upload, and file documents into client charts and ensure accuracy of records.
• Create and maintain charts for new clients and update existing records as needed.
