Job summary

HealthBridge Inc. in Downtown Chicago is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and drive improvements in close speed, accuracy, and scalability. This hybrid role offers a path to automate processes and enhance financial controls.

The ideal candidate will own the close, manage cash forecasting, and partner with FP&A, operations, and auditors to support a growing healthcare receivables finance platform using Sage Intacct, Brex, and Amazon QuickSight.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
CPA strongly preferred or actively pursuing.
8+ years of progressive accounting experience with close ownership.
Healthcare finance, receivables purchasing, or specialty finance experience required.

Responsibilities

Own the month, quarter, and year close and drive speed and accuracy improvements.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and GL integrity.
Maintain strong internal controls, policies, and documentation.
Lead relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties.
Own rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and liquidity planning.
Automate accounting workflows and build scalable reporting in Sage Intacct, Brex, and AWS QuickSight.
