Job summary

HealthBridge Financial is seeking a systems-oriented Senior Accountant who thrives on improving processes while delivering accurate financial results. You will be a key contributor to the monthly close and help strengthen the accounting infrastructure for a growing healthcare finance business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills: Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas, structured data analysis.
• Strong Sage Intacct experience; Brex and AmazonQuickSight preferred.
• Excellent understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and GL accounting.
• Proven ability to improve recurring processes through automation and better system design.
• High ownership, attention to detail, and comfort in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other close deliverables.

This role will be a key contributor to the monthly close and will help strengthen the accounting infrastructure needed to support a growing healthcare finance business. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, comfortable working across systems, and naturally looks for smarter, more automated ways to complete recurring accounting work.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other close deliverables.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close while meeting established deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain general ledger accuracy and investigate unusual balances or activity.
• Analyze financial data and explain significant period-over-period and budget-to-actual variances.
• Support financial reporting, audit requests, and documentation requirements.

Process Improvement & Systems

• Partner with the Controller to simplify, standardize, and automate reconciliations and recurring close activities.
• Use Sage Intacct, Brex, AmazonQuickSight, and advanced Excel to improve accounting workflows and reporting.
• Build andmaintainautomated schedules, data transformations, and reconciliation tools.
• Document accounting processes andidentifyopportunities to remove manual handoffs and duplicate work.
